fell to pieces on first effort and doesn't work under Windows 7
After this I intend to make a video of myself smashing this piece of rubbish with a hammer and posting as a video review.

SLIDE CONVERT
Product is very easy to use. Does a great job converting my slide and photo negatives to digital format. Touch-up and enhance program gave me just what I needed to clean up and enhance some of the scans,
Company was great to work with!!

VuPoint FS-C1-VP Film and Slide Digital Converter
Contrary to a few other reviewers, I found this product to perform exceptionally well on slides (have not tried negatives) - far better than I expected after reading the other reviews. The output pix files needed some enhancement (with any of a variety of free or purchased photo programs), but that was not a problem at all - the results were superb. I converted some VERY old, faded slides and got absolutely fantastic results.
The tray loading system is a little awkward. but it is not a show-stopper.
The driver installed and works perfectly on my Vista SP1 and works well as a TWAIN input source for photo programs.

no complaints for the price
This scanner does an adequate job for the money. If you want professional quality, you will need to pay a professional price.

It's just ok
Although ease of use and installation went very good I was very disappointed with the quality of of the scans on my slides. Color is ok but the sharpness leaves much to be desired. Guess you get what you pay for.
