This Product Rocks
This product rocks in every way - see all the attributes. Pricey but well worth it.

Wow
I work in an IT environment and we have commerical high production scanners. This scanner behaves just the same way. It installed with no problems. Setting up was very intutive and required little instructional reading; yeah I am a man. I was astounded that it duplexed scanned and one radion button to switch between single and duplex. You can use the provided organization or go out on your own. The model i have does provide an extension to support standard and legal paper.

With receipts like walmart it does tend to lean over however, some of these are not torn off from register correctly and thus does not have a straight edge at bottom. This can be corrected by scanning upside down. The software is smart enough to see this and turn it over for you! I have had mine for about a month now. Will reevaluate in a few months to let you know how maintenance goes.
Happy

Some installation problems, but works, but very expensive.
I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit (which lets face it has been out for some time). Had some trouble installing it and has been mentioned over and over, no one to talk to. For 0 maybe there should be. I've had it so long I had the same trouble with Vista, 64 bit (had to download new software then and kept putting off trying again when I went to Windows 7 - the user forum might be more helpful than Neats email support).
This is a nice little scanner and once running seems to work well. I wish I could use it without their software (maybe you can but search me how - maybe I'm not that bright). My main issue basically is price vs use. If you run a medium size business this will help you, but if you run a small home office or for personal use I think its better to just get an all-in-one and scan into that which now-a-days would cost your about one-fourth of the price.
Anyway, to some it all up, it works, if you use it a lot its worth it.

Great Tool to Have
I did quite a bit of research before I purchased the NeatDesk Desktop Scanner. Nothing seems to be out there that can compare with this product and the tools you get. The software is amazing. Being able to digitize all your folders of paperwork, organize yourself, and it's so easy to find the information I'm looking for. So I'm very happy with it. It's on the pricier side but once you know what you get it's all worth it.
One note though. It's not very good about scanning business cards with a dark background but maybe I just have to find out if there is a setting for that. Haven't researched it.

NeatDesk Desktop Scanner Mostly a Hit
I found this scanner to be inexpensive, easy to install and simple to operate. You can make reports for taxes and spending, it will import .pdf files, it can interface with TurboTax (although I personally have not tried that), and it will read and take pictures (even both sides) of business cards. Tech support is not instantly available, so that was less than great. I was able to get organized and get rid of several annoying piles of " What do I do with this?" stuff, so I'm pretty happy.
