Isn't compatable with Windows 7
I was very disappointed to find that Teacher's Toolbox would not work on Windows 7. The system requirements advertised were that you need Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP AND HIGHER OPERATING SYSTEMS. The online support was no help, saying sorry, it's too expensive for us to adapt the software to all systems.

Teacher's Toolbox 6.0 (not for Vista Home Premium OS)
I purchased this, it will install, but not work with Vista Vista Home Premium OS.

Critical Progamming and Grade Calculation Errors
- Really there are too many errors to list and tech support is essentially useless.
a) grades do not add up or curve properly. two students with identical scores can end up with very different letter grades
b) attendance does not figure into student report cards
c) the software seems to haphazardly treat a score of 0, different than a blank space. if zero is entered and that is the only score for the student in that category then it shows a blank grade in the total
d) updates (there seems to be 1) does not allow you to import older data (grades from other classes)
e) for reports you are often forced to click on categories that have nothing to do with your report (such as selecting all grade categories to get an attendance report)
f) if you try and open a second "class" it may do it or it may crash.
In summary, you are much much much better off making use of a spreadsheet. You will know the calculations are accurate and meaningful. The only drawback to the ss is that it wont make pretty reports (as far as I know).

Teacher's Toolbox
This is the same version as 3.0 as I haven't found any differences. You still can't export grades to a report card, import student photos or information and it still doesn't include a lesson planner. It works well for simply tracking grades but it could be so much better!

Not User Friendly
Tried for weeks to find a use for this software. Find it to be not user friendly and primitive, something that you have found 10 years ago using DOS. Folder path driven rather than graphics/icon driven. Customer support was friendly and helpful but after much effort, decided it either did not have a practical application or that it had one but was too difficult to figure out.
