The translator will display the sentence in the original language (usually English) and speak the sentence in the desired foreign language. A built-in data-file stores up to 60 sets of phone numbers (with names) with a password security lock. The translator has an LCD display with adjustable contrast, volume level selection (3 levels), key tone on/off switch, auto power off and display backlight which can be turned off to preserve batteries. Not a translator
This is only a talking phrase book. It is most definately not a translator or dictionary. You can’t even enter words to translate. It has quite a few phrases, but the display is small and hard to navigate. If you have an iPhone, you’re better off going with the lonely planet audio phrase books.

This is a really cool machine. It has a lot of phrase that you can look up easily. Then just push a button and it speaks the phrase in a different language. I strongly recommend it to an one that travels to foreign countries.
